The Urban Operations Laboratory

Conceptual field prototype
Proof of concept was achieved in early 2006 for a device that will operate remotely (1-2 mile range) at stationary locations, or possibly on vehicles, to rapidly screen cars, areas, or persons for explosives, using safe levels of neutron and gamma energies, and a patented Template-Matching procedure. A laboratory prototype should be complete in 2009. Depending on funding levels, the goal in 2010 is to produce a small, portable, and reliable field prototype, and work will be expanded to include minefield detection.
